Leadership is not about managing people.  It is about building a fire within them rather than underneath them.  This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge to be an effective leader.  You will learn how to acquire the respect and support of those that are being led; develop a vision of desired results and a plan to achieve them.  It’s time to work from leading IT as opposed to just managing IT.

Leading Change Across IT and the Enterprise

Through this highly engaging workshop, you will equip yourself with the knowledge and tools to be an effective change leader. You will come away understanding what is involved in leading successful change initiatives in your organisation, develop a positive approach to resistance, and recognise how your leadership behaviours can move all stakeholders in a new direction.

IT leaders are skilled at managing their people, however managing change is a different story. Too often IT leaders are expected to know how to lead a change, but are not actually equipped with the skills to do so.

Regardless of the size or scope of change you are leading, effective change leadership skills are vital to your success. As a change leader, change catalyst, or change agent, your role is critical to the success of the change initiative.

Managing Vendor Partnerships:

Organisations are leveraging outside services more and more. These vendor services can provide added value through increased quality, lower costs, improved customer service, or implementation of best practices.

Increasingly roles are changing from that of selecting and managing employees, to selecting and managing supplier relationships. The organisation’s employees are also coping with a change in the roles and the relationships with their internal clients. If these relationships are not effectively managed, organisations risk their reputation by missing deadlines, incurring higher than expected costs while receiving lower than expected quality, and lower staff morale.
